You have to check it out. I was surprised by the horrible quality of pictures, some of them even absolutely out of focus.

Another garments in ivory and black. It seems to me absolutely the same, with  the same number of motives, but shorter. It's probably thinner yarn.

I made a wool t-shirt a while ago. It looked really nice, nut I never wore it because it didn't look good with something underneath and I can't go with bare arms in winter. I also messed up sleeves a bit.
So I redid it. I think it doesn't look as good as it was before, but t's much more practical.

I am sure I will make it with long sleeves some day... Ha-ha.

Crochet Cardigan "Rose Garden".

Finally I am done with this one. As with any project I create I did and redid, riped it off, crocheted again.

I bought #5 cotton thread  in few colors in the middle of summer and was so excited to combine them in one garment, but found out it's very hard. I just never did it and it's so much harder than to work with just one.
I was afraid to end up with a flower bed, which happens often in Irish Crochet.
Having an idea to stick with simplicity, and still to use a few colors, I tried to find a balance and actually like the result.
Every mistake is so costly in crochet or knitting (it takes a long time to redo things).

On top of making sometimes really stupid mistakes I don't like the result quite often and rather redo than not enjoy the garment later. No matter how many times you count stitches it doesn't always fit perfectly on the first try. The sleeves are suppose to be 3/4, but turned out full length. And... yes, right, you start from the bottom, so to make them shorter, I would need to rip off half of a sleeve. I just left them that way.

I made a regular net cardigan, some Irish flowers and leaves, stitched them together and stitched the whole thing on top of the cardigan. This technique made the edge heavy for better fitting.

Today we were hiking Perkiomen Trail and made sure to come back before dark fall so we wouldn't meet those deer on the road again.
 There were almost no leaves anywhere, but at this spot. :)

I am not only into photography recently if  you wonder. :)
I actually finished a cardigan which looks very 19th century and very summer, so kind of out of season and finishing a vest, which I am redoing out of one I made before, but never wore for some reason. Well, I know the reason, the sleeves were made totally wrong to my shame.
So I am going to do some photo shooting very soon.

 It was such a beautiful evening until we headed home and hit a deer on the highway. We all are fine except my car, which needs $4,000 value repair, good I have to pay only deductible.
Please, bee careful driving, it's that time of the year.

I ran into this pumpkin pile at the fresh market yesterday. I guess they are just too ugly to be picked up, felt sorry for them.

Finally I've got Linux OS on my computer and GIMP - free software for photo processing. Took me a few days to get used to Linux, I wanted to switch to Windows all the time, but I am happy with it now, it's so much simpler and faster.
I was so excited to finally use Unsharpening mask  and Channel Mixer Monochrome to make Black and White images.

While waiting for Timur's last soccer game to start I was wondering around Shady Grove school in Blue Bell, PA. I love these  fall yellow flowers, but they could be as much beautiful when dried.

ASOS Crochet Village Fit and Flare Dress

Interesting way to connect top and skirt of this lovely dress.
And best news: you can use a skirt you already have (just find matching thread/yarn). I have a flower pattern skirt in red/pink/black I don't wear anymore. Adding black top to that skirt would make it very interesting dress. Well, for young girls at least. I might be too old. Ha-ha!

How it's made.

By making different size and style dollies and creating regular net from bottom to the top . It's not an easy task and requires practice. You can see some not very neat spots around dollies. Which is fine because it's handmade.
I think the salt of this dress in all different dollies.
It would also look lovely in any other color, I see in in navy blue for some reason. :))

Cabbage Rose Pima Cotton Cardigan from Peruvian Connection.

The idea is the same. Regular net and roses stitched on top. I think it's even possible to make petals using arcs as a base. Hmmm, have to try it!
